About the role
As the Recovery Works Project Manager at Yarra Ranges Council, you will lead the critical recovery efforts to reinstate damaged public assets following storm events and emergencies. Your civil works expertise will ensure the swift reinstatement of essential public assets and drive continuous improvement in our infrastructure services. You'll oversee maintenance works, manage project and financial data, and ensure compliance with Disaster Fund Recovery Financial Arrangement (DRFA) guidelines.

This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week).

This is a Band 7 role with a salary range/hourly rate between $107,314 and $120,084 per annum, plus superannuation.

Experience and skills we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Excellent time management skills to plan, prioritize work, and manage competing priorities.

Experience leading the implementation of customer-focused processes and activities.

Extensive understanding of Natural Disaster Financial Assistance processes.

Ability to coordinate responses and operations following extreme weather/natural disaster events.

Skills in managing annual supply contracts, including auditing and record keeping.

Proficiency in building strategic internal and external relationships to support claim efforts and service delivery.

Professional engineering registration or active compliance with the Professional Engineers Act 2023.
