We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Maintenance Manager in Beresfield. The successful candidate will report directly to the Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Responsible for budgeting, planning and implementation of plant preventative and emergency maintenance, and in association with head office engineering

Installation of plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure associated with the operation of the Processing Plant

Ensure all work on the site is carried out in a safe manner to adhere to Baiada Poultry budgets, standards and systems

Recruitment and retention of maintenance staff

Conflict resolution, counselling and disciplinary procedures for staff

Reports to the Site Manager and has direct working relationships with the Production Manager/Supervisor, Distribution Manager/Supervisor, Production Planner, Baiada Poultry contractors and suppliers, site compliance co-ordinators and other Baiada processing sites as required

Supervision of other areas of the plant as agreed with the Site Manager on WHS and safety related matters

Working to Baiada standards including Minimum Operating Standards, the Quality Management System, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Policy, Workplace Injury Management System, the Environmental Management System and Work Health and Safety System

Manage all areas associated with maintaining primary processing operation ensuring that cost, service, quality, people and safety performance meets the required standards

Provide clear direction to the maintenance team and manage their performance in line with company objectives

Drive the operational excellence strategy ensuring continuous improvement is embedded throughout the processing operation
Required Skills (Must-haves):

Structured leadership training including conflict resolution and problem solving
-
experience, preferably in a maintenance management role
-
contractor management experience
-
Trade qualifications in a related discipline

Knowledge of food processing industry
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
-
Ability to set-up plant and equipment to achieve efficiency targets set for plant and equipment operation

Ability to use hard copy and computer-based maintenance schedules on a weekly, daily and hourly basis

Excellent planning skills particularly in relation to control of a maintenance workforce through a daily production process which overlaps several shifts

A knowledge of quality systems, HACCP procedures and understanding of how maintenance work could impact on the environment.
