Due to growth, Beaudesert Mazda has an exciting role opportunity available for a Diagnostics Technician to join our vibrant Service Team at Beaudesert. We are big believers in a quality work / life balance and have a range of flexible working options available to suit you and your individual needs.
In this diverse role you will be required to assist with the diagnosis of challenging workshop repairs along with guiding and mentoring our apprentices and technicians to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction is achieved through a strong ‘Fix it right’ process.

About the role
Reporting to our Service Manager, this role involves you being a leader in driving high quality vehicle servicing and maintenance including but not limited to:

Accurately identifying and reporting on service repair and warranty work

Carry out minor and major service work to manufacturer and dealership specifications

Perform road testing and conduct quality control check assessments

Maintaining up to date knowledge of dealer product range and providing expert mechanical and diagnostic advice

Provide clear and open communication with both our service advisors and guests where required. From clear concise explanations of the vehicle issue, work to be performed and future repair requirements.

Ensuring and cultivating a safe and clean working environment, ensuring the correct operation of tools / specialised equipment across the floor

Assisting and mentoring technicians with their skills and providing technical support where needed

Contribute and promote a positive and supportive team culture within the workshop
Skills & Experience

Must have previous experience within an automotive workshop environment (Previous Mazda experience highly regarded but not essential)

Excellent diagnostic skills, technical aptitude, and knowledge of the automotive industry

Ability to problem solve, work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Organised and process driven

Strong attention to detail and commitment to a job done right the first time

Excellent communication and great people skills

Full Australian Trade Motor Mechanic Qualifications

A Current Manual Driver’s Licence
