Warehouse Operator

Description:

Perspective Recruitment are seeking an experienced Process Worker / Storeman to work with our client based in Dandenong South.
The role requires you to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of inventory to feed business operations and customer demand. This position will require you to work ongoing, full-time hours Monday to Friday.
Hours (Flexible)
8:00am – 4:15pm (Monday – Thursday)
8:00am – 3:30pm (Friday)
There are multiple permanent full time positions, offering job stability and secure work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely ‘picking’ of components as well as assembly and production work in a manufacturing environment
• Receive and process inventory (unload, label, store)
• Forklift operating
• Thoroughly inspect inventory for any damage and discrepancies
• Assembly and process work as required

To be successful:

• Valid driver’s licence is ideal
• Experience in a warehouse setting
• Forklift license (LF) and LO as a bonus
• Strong communication skills - can relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
• Able to accurately complete paperwork.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable performing routine, repetitive tasks.
• Able to lift and move heavy objects – good physical fitness required.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Good numeracy and mechanical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of process environments.
• Experience with operating machinery.
