About the Role

Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of all collection’s activities. You will oversee all the delinquent accounts and manage a team of offshore collections officers. A key part of this role will be creating and building new systems and processes, ideally automating some of the manual processes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Arrears managed within the action timetable and framework
  • Drive and maintain strong customer service culture within the collections team
  • Support the development and implementation of new processes and procedures
  • Ensure all collections activity is compliant with relevant legislation and the companies arrears policy
  • Manage offshore collections team
  • Contact customers as necessary to make repayments
  • Negotiate payment programmes

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced collections environment, preferably within a non-bank lender. You will have the ability to run a small team of collectors. The ideal candidate will be able to build new systems and processes, while also being a hands-on collector in the role. A strong knowledge of current legislative requirements, including the National Credit Code, AML & CTF, Privacy Act and Fair-Trading Act is required. You will have previous experience in a managerial position, showing strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
