Our team is currently recruiting a Consumer Lived Experience Integrated Mental Health AOD & Mental Health. This is a part time position on going 20 hours per week, Requirement to work Monday - Sunday as rostered. We have positions available in our Warragul and Latrobe Valley Community Teams.
A Consumer Lived Experience Worker Integrated Alcohol and Drug and Mental Health and Wellbeing (AOD/MH) draws on their own life-changing experiences of mental illness and recovery to support other consumers who are receiving services from Latrobe Regional Health. The Consumer Lived Experience Worker supports and inspires hope in consumers.
About you
- Completion or commitment to complete Intentional Peer Support Training
- Certificate IV in AOD, Dual Diagnosis or Mental Health or commitment to undertake

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- You will have a lived experience of your own receiving service and support for your own AOD/mental health, and you will have a deep understanding of the issues and concerns experienced by people experiencing AOD and mental health challenges.
- You will have a rich understanding of the processes of personal recovery, the vital role that the service and lived experience can play in supporting someone's recovery journey, and the importance of recognising and supporting the wellbeing of consumers themselves
