Description:
As a Stonemason, you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and setting stone materials in various types of construction projects, including walls, pathways, monuments, and buildings. You will work with a variety of natural stones such as granite, marble, and limestone, bringing your expertise to deliver work that stands the test of time.
Key Responsibilities :

Cutting, shaping, and installing stone for masonry work.

Studying plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures

Maintaining high standards of workmanship with attention to detail.
· Handles all aspects of stone preparation, shaping, and finishing, employing a range of tools and equipment to achieve exceptional craftsmanship.
· Conducts site assessments and measurements, ensures accurate dimensions and seamless integration of stone elements within existing structures.

Collaborating with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met and maintains a safe and clean work environment
Key Selection Criteria :
-
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Stonemason or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications, to ensure the precise execution of projects.

Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship and able to confidently collaborate closely with the clients and other team members to interpret blueprints and specifications, ensuring precise execution of projects

Ability to work independently or as part of a team and has strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Certificate III or IV in Building or Construction obtained from an Australian RTO is highly regarded but not essential.
