The Opportunity
As a Shift Lead with the Noumi team you will be a key contributor to customer success, the link between raw materials and our end product. You will ensure efficient and cost-effective production, by managing downtime, safety, and quality incidents, to ensure minimal losses.
- Lead the assigned production team towards achieving business KPIs in relation to safety, people development, quality, productivity, and cost control on assigned shift.
- Foster a culture of safety and quality across the UHT plant, ensuring adherence to procedures and policies through effective team management and coaching.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, quality, and production standards, including HACCP/Food Safety plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet KPIs.
- Lead and coach production operators to achieve operational goals and foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Develop operator capabilities through training, empower autonomy in equipment operation, and support staffing for effective plant operation and productivity.
- Foster strong relationships with internal departments to enhance UHT operations and ensure accountability for daily production line operations.
- Ensure daily compliance with OPEX activities, drive operational excellence initiatives, and support environmental waste reduction efforts while maintaining inventory accuracy and coordinating maintenance activities for operational continuity.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated people leadership skills, having led teams of a similar capacity in prior roles.
- Experience working within a factory/supervision role within FMCG. in Dairy & Beverages Processing & Packaging Plant.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Sound understanding of quality and workplace health and safety standards, legislation and regulations.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly across various stakeholder groups.
