About The Role
In this role, you will coordinate and support staff in delivering high-quality aquatic programs and oversee the day-to-day operations of our aquatic centres. Working closely with the Swim Sport & Leisure Coordinators, you’ll lead program planning, provide operational support, and drive continuous improvement to ensure our facilities are safe, welcoming and community-focused.
Work type: Permanent full time
Classification: Band 5 Commencing at $77,218 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the planning, coordination and evaluation of aquatic programs Overseeing daily aquatic operations across two centres Supporting administrative tasks related to plant operations and facility management Driving strategic improvements in aquatic services Ensuring a clean, safe and friendly environment for staff and patrons Upholding council policies and contributing to a positive team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have…
Essential Experience:
A tertiary qualification in recreation program management or equivalent relevant experience Current Working with Children Check, Level 2 First Aid, Pool Lifeguard Award, Pool Operator Certificate, and Oxygen Resuscitation certification Proven experience delivering aquatic programs and leading operational teams Strong understanding of pool plant operations and safety protocols Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with staff and clients Commitment to customer service excellence and team leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
