The Role
Toll People are currently seeking experienced HC and MC Drivers for our client based in Port Kembla. These are casual, ongoing positions, currently offering the following shifts:
Dayshifts starting between 4:00am-6:00am
Afternoon shifts starting between 4:00pm-5:30pm
Delivering a variety of steel products, drivers will be expected to have a strong focus on safety and compliance. Experience with load restraint and/or steel is advantageous but not essential.
Delivery routes are within the local region as well as runs into Sydney.
HC $45.41+ per hour
MC $48.35 + per hour
Overtime and shift penalties may apply
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver steel products in the local region and into Sydney
- Ensure correct, secure and safe loading of vehicles
- Carry out all duties within set time frames and following all instructions
- Complete and supply mandatory run sheet information in the format required
- Ensure compliance and safety is adhered to at all times
Skills & Experience
- HC licence (minimum) or MC licence
- Professional truck driving experience (2+ years)
- Ability to keep up with the physical demands of the job - loading and restraining steel products
- MSIC or willing to obtain
- Availability to work on-call, often at short notice
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and good numeracy skills
- Previous steel-handling experience is advantageous, but not essential
