What you’ll Do
As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a strategic partner to our operations and support functions in two sites in Prospect and Arndell Park NSW. You will provide expert guidance and support in alignment with our company objectives and values. Your role will involve creating and improving work relationships, increasing productivity, and fostering engagement while ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day HR operational matters for your assigned coverage.
- Partner with General Managers and Operations Managers to design, develop, and implement the people-plan in line with business and operations strategies.
- Coach and mentor line managers to enhance their people management skills.
- Provide direction on strengthening employee engagement within the business.
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR issues, offering guidance and conflict resolution support.
- Conduct investigations and handle employee grievances in line with company policy and legislation.
- Assist with site Enterprise Bargaining/Collective Agreement negotiations.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment efforts.
- Support performance management programs to enhance employee growth and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Advise the business on legal and compliance risks.
- Act as a change champion, guiding leaders and employees through organizational change.
- Maintain relationships with preferred employment agencies and employee/union delegates.
- Drive a harmonious industrial relations environment by ensuring procedural fairness and best practices.
- Support the annual employee engagement survey and work with management to address key areas of concern and improvement.
What Experience and Education You Need
- 5+ years of operational HR management experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources or business (desired but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult, influence, and deliver HR solutions.
- Experience within the Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain sector would be highly advantageous
- Experience with Oracle ERP would be highly advantageous
- Intermediate-advanced computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
- Ability to travel to sites, including some interstate travel.
- Experience working independently in an operational HR role.
- Ability to work in a cold/chiller environment due to the nature of the business.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
