Role Summary

We are currently seeking an immediately available Supply & Demand Planner for an initial 6-month contract based onsite in Sydney. This contingent role offers a competitive daily rate of $430 to $480 + super, depending on experience, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate.
The role will play a crucial part in aligning supply operations with business demand, particularly with international procurement from vendors. You'll be working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure optimal inventory levels, timely deliveries, and efficient supply chain processes in a dynamic, product-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, and market insights
  • Align supply planning activities with inventory targets, customer expectations, and lead times
  • Place and monitor purchase orders through internal systems (e.g., Unleashed), ensuring on-time fulfilment
  • Manage stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking, supporting inventory health across all warehouses
  • Maintain strong relationships with both local and overseas suppliers to ensure delivery schedule adherence
  • Oversee customs clearance and all import/export documentation to support compliant and efficient logistics execution
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to manage international shipments and reduce transit delays
  • Administer stock transfers between warehouses, reconciling inventory movements and coordinating with warehouse staff
  • Participate actively in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing timely and accurate planning data
  • Conduct root cause analysis of supply disruptions, proposing and implementing effective corrective actions
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to optimise inventory turnover, minimise waste, and enhance supply efficiency
  • Support product lifecycle planning by managing supply strategies for new launches and end-of-life transitions
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement in delivery reliability, responsiveness, and compliance
  • Generate and distribute regular reports on inventory, supplier metrics, and demand forecast accuracy for key business stakeholders
About You
  • Proven experience in demand and supply planning, inventory, procurement, or logistics roles
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems; Unleashed experience highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities for reporting and forecasting
  • Solid understanding of international freight, customs clearance, and import/export logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-border supplier relationships
  • Highly organised with a proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience within the lighting, electrical, or consumer goods industries is an advantage
  • Must have full Australian working rights (citizen, PR, or long-term working visa holders only)
