The Role
  • Work with an existing experienced remedial and facade team and add your expertise and experience.
  • You will work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams to assess, diagnose, and deliver technical solutions for facade remediation.
  • You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • You will mentor and guide junior members of staff to enhance learning, collaboration and a healthy team environment.
The Responsibilities
  • Lead facade inspection and assessment projects, conducting thorough surveys and analyses of existing building facades to identify defects and issues.
  • Develop and implement remedial strategies to improve facade performance, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in the design and specification of facade remedial works, including waterproofing, cladding, and structural interventions.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and proposals for remedial works and present findings to clients.
The Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field). A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facade engineering, with at least 5 years focusing on remedial works.
  • Strong experience in inspecting and remediating building facades, including cladding, curtain walls, and glazing systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations related to facades.
  • Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools for analysis, design, and documentation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
