About the position

Reporting to the Head of Payroll, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate and efficient payroll services in a large, fast-paced business with over 1300 employees.

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, maintaining accurate records, interpreting awards, and supporting employees with payroll queries. Working closely with teams across the business, you’ll help ensure compliance and smooth operations.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and award interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
  • Process payroll adjustments, such as deductions, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
  • Assist with payroll queries and provide support to employees and managers.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments to ensure payroll processes align with company objectives.

About you

  • Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and/or accounting software.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of award interpretation and payroll legislation (highly regarded).
  • Cert III in Financial Services or willingness to obtain (highly regarded).
