About the role
Regional Security NSW Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician or Cabler to join our team in Wollongong, NSW. This full-time position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intruder detection, multi-tenant intercom, boom gates and automated doors. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.
What you'll be doing

Install, configure, and test electronic security, CCTV and access systems and associated equipment

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing systems

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment

Liaise with clients to understand their security requirements and provide recommendations

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security system installations and maintenance
What we're looking for in a Security Technician

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electronic Security Technician

Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection

Proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of security equipment

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Current security, cabling and driver's license

Availability to complete some away work (including overnight stays)
What we're looking for Cabler

Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered cabler

Ability to learn installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Current cabling and driver's license

Availability to complete some away work (including overnight stays)
