Base salary will be in the range $80,448 - $107,104 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A)

Based at our St Lucia campus with some travel to the Mater Hospital for clinical teaching as required
This is a wonderful opportunity for a Clinical Associate Lecturer in Midwifery to undertake and develop their clinical teaching, clinical research, and service and engagement. You will be guided and supported by more senior academic staff with the expectation of an increasing degree of autonomy over time.
Key responsibilities will include:

Teaching: Develop an emerging teaching profile, develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, provide academic counselling and advice, and adhere to university teaching rules.

Research: Produce quality research outputs, participate in research funding applications, collaborate on joint clinical research projects, contribute to transfer of knowledge, develop an emerging research project, and utilise best practice research methodologies.

Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise and mentor students as appropriate, manage research support staff as required, provide performance feedback and training, and resolving conflicts as they arise.

Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You-
Completion of an advanced professional qualification or Higher Degree by Research in Midwifery.

An emerging profile in clinical teaching and/or clinical research in the discipline area.

Industry knowledge and experience in a general or specialist capacity.

Evidence of quality clinical teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate (as appropriate) and/or professional entry level and collaboration in course coordination.

Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and strong contributions towards external activities that foster links within the profession within the relevant specialty.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including the right to work in Australia, education check, AHPRA registration, and mandatory immunisations.
