CE’s Technical and Strategic Advisory Team , launched in early 2024, delivers tailored, client-focused consulting and engineering services. With several exciting projects underway and a strong pipeline ahead, we’re looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to support our continued growth.
Your Role:
As Principal Engineer, you will:
- Lead and manage electrical design on projects ranging from $100K to $30M.
- Deliver high-quality electrical engineering designs and assessments.
- Mentor and support the development of junior team members.
Duties may include:
- Plan, design, and manage electrical works to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Provide technical advice and coordinate with the client's engineering team.
- Help track construction progress and ensure it stays on schedule.
- Communicate regularly with the project team, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example and improving electrical safety practices.
- Stay updated on electrical safety rules and regulations and share this knowledge with the team.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Electrical Engineering degree (required)
- RPEQ accreditation (required)
- Chartered Professional Engineer status (preferred)
- Experience with ETAP or SKM PTW for power system analysis (required)
- AutoCAD skills (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in electrical project design and delivery
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, and related regulations
- Proactive, flexible, and driven to succeed
- Focused on delivering high-quality, client-centered outcomes
- Must have full working rights in Australia
