Operations ManagerJoin this leading organisation as their Operations Manager and play a key role in scaling their fast-growing, design-led gifting brand. In this hands-on and strategic role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end operations of our supply chain, from sourcing and procurement to production, logistics, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage Technology: Utilise ERP systems (e.g., CIN7) to streamline and optimise operational workflows. Identify and implement new digital solutions to improve supply chain, inventory, and fulfilment processes. Explore AI tools to automate tasks and drive efficiencies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the warehouse and production team, ensuring smooth daily operations. Oversee capacity planning, set and achieve KPIs, and manage a team that scales during peak seasons.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Manage sourcing and relationships with manufacturers in Australia and China. Ensure high-quality materials and ethical sourcing at competitive prices. Negotiate terms of trade and develop supplier strategies.
- Logistics & Distribution: Oversee international imports and local e-commerce logistics, optimising shipping and delivery processes.
- Inventory and Demand Planning: Maintain optimal inventory levels by utilising data to forecast and adjust supply accordingly. Track KPIs and provide performance insights to senior management.
- Customer Service Oversight: Work closely with the customer service team to ensure seamless order fulfilment and resolve supply chain-related issues.
- Budget & Cost Management: Monitor and control supply chain costs while ensuring quality. Identify cost-saving opportunities across logistics and procurement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and sales on new product development initiatives. Be a key member of the NPD venture team, offering insights and solutions.
- Supply Chain Strategy & Optimisation: Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with growth goals. Identify efficiency improvements and risk management strategies.
- Degree qualified in Operations Management or a similar field.
- Strong experience in implementing or optimising ERP systems and integrating inventory systems with platforms like Shopify and Xero.
- 10+ years in supply chain, operations, or logistics (e-commerce preferred).
- Proven experience managing both international and domestic supply chains.
- Expertise in procurement, inventory, and logistics management.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify) and forecasting systems.
- Strong leadership skills with a solutions-focused approach.
