About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Coordinator to join our manufacturing food safety team overseeing QA in both our Yatala and Richlands facilities. In this critical role, you will coordinate and oversee daily quality assurance operations, ensuring all products meet internal standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor production lines for adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

Maintain and update quality documentation including HACCP, SOPs, and internal audits.

Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

Train and support factory staff in QA processes and food safety best practices.

Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and certifications.

Ensure ongoing compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO22000, and other relevant food safety certifications and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and legal requirements.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive QA documentation, including product specifications, batch records, cleaning logs, temperature records, and traceability files. Ensure records are audit-ready at all times.

Support the evaluation and approval of raw material and packaging suppliers by reviewing specifications, COAs, and audit results. Work closely with procurement to address supplier-related quality issues.

Lead the execution of daily quality assurance activities, including pre-operational checks, in-process inspections, and final product microbiological testing to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Skills and Experience Required

Proven experience in a QA role within a food manufacturing environment (2+ years preferred).

Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO22000, or other relevant food safety standards.

Strong communication skills with the ability to train and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Degree or diploma in Food Science, Food manufacturing, or a related field (desirable).

Own transport is essential, as the role involves overseeing quality checks across two sites located in Richlands and Yatala.
