About the Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Assistant Practice Manager to help support our Practice Manager and Regional Manager at our busy practice in Hobart.
We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. This role requires a highly experienced person who can operate with a greater level of autonomy and initiative, providing strong assistance to the Practice Manager and the wider team.
Location: This is an exciting opportunity to join Ochre Medical Centre Hobart
Core Responsibilities:

Support the Practice Manager to provide best practice primary health care to the community and lead the team when the Practice Manager is not on site.

Ensure processes and systems are in accordance with National Standards for Accreditation

Manage the reception team including workflow, billings, administration systems and support.

Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, health providers, and community organisations
Essential Criteria:
-
Experience in a similar role (medical administration an advantage).

Experience in financial management and reporting processes
-
Demonstrated previous experience in managing other team members and ability to encourage leadership and team work.

Good working knowledge of the Medicare Schedule

Strength in building customer and stakeholder relationships

Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize varied and conflicting demands with strong problem solving skills.
