Description:
Our amazing Longford store are looking for a part-time commercial cleaner to join their team. This role involves cleaning of the store and surrounding areas in the early mornings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the shop floor and working areas are clean, tidy and safe and ready for the day.
Duties will include:
- General cleaning, scrubbing, dusting and polishing
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping shop floor and work areas
- Removing rubbish and recyclable material
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, replenishing supplies
You will need:
- Previous experience working as a commercial cleaner
- Morning shift availability (6am starts)3 - 4 days a week
- Physical fitness for lifting, standing and all general cleaning duties
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, and use of solvents
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently, with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to take direction, but also work autonomously
We can offer some flexibility to suit your schedule. Depending on your experience and availability, there may also be opportunities for you to work in another Hill Street department, if you would like to increase your hours.

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award . The 2024-25 base hourly pay rates for level 1 adults are:
Full time & part time
- Weekdays $25.65
- Saturday $32.06
- Sunday $38.48
Casual
- Weekdays $32.06
- Saturday $38.48
- Sunday $44.89
Additional penalty rates apply to public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts. Please view the full Award for all applicable rates and allowances.
