About The Role
Band 5 - base salary from $117,700 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Join the Major Transmission Projects team at a pivotal time in this newly created position of Planning and Statutory Assessment Specialist, with a strong focus on planning permits!
As the Planning and Statutory Assessment Specialist, the key focus of your role is to provide support and advice to the Leader Planning and Statutory Assessments as well as the broader Major Transmission Project team. By way of providing support and advice, this will be achieved through -
Having an in-depth knowledge of land use planning and other regulatory assessment processes Evaluating consultants’ outputs to ensure they are fit-for-purpose Identification, management and mitigation of risks Actively participating in forums and briefings with both internal and external stakeholders
About You
To be successful in this role you will have an extensive background in planning, combined with a solid understanding of various regulatory assessment processes. You will hold tertiary qualifications in land use planning or a relatable discipline. You will be familiar with the relevant land use planning, heritage, Aboriginal Heritage and environmental legislation and assessments.
You will possess exceptional communication skills, as consulting with stakeholders regularly plays a key part in your success in this role. The successful candidate will also have -
Sound judgement and a pragmatic, risk-based approach to decision making and problem solving A personal commitment to ongoing learning and professional development The ability to work effectively in an environment of ambiguity and change Regular intrastate travel is required, including additional after-hours work from time to time.
