What the role looks like
Reporting to the Head of Investment Strategy, you will undertake research and analysis making a key contribution to the management of the investment program in the following areas:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the DAA (dynamic asset allocation) program
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis on multiple asset classes with a focus on Fixed Income
- Support the team in making informed investment decisions
- Conducting due diligence on new investment managers
- Contributing to effective assessment and selection of managers and investments.
- Monitoring and reviewing existing investment managers in relevant asset classes
- Contribute to papers for the board and investment committee
- Using quantitative and modelling skills to assist reviews and assessments
- Assisting in the provision of information to ratings agencies
We’re on the lookout for passionate individuals who embody our values. If you have the following, we want to hear from you:
- Experience working in an Investment Management function at either a Fund Manager, Superannuation Fund or Asset Consultant
- A good understanding of various asset classes particularly Fixed Income
- Understanding of financial instruments and investment markets
- A background in economics or econometrics preferred
- Strong analytical and quantitative background
- Experience with manipulating large data sets, financial modelling and coding, excel and programming skillsets highly regarded
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both cross-functionally and autonomously
- A collegiate approach with characteristics suitable to working inclusively in a team
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
