As a spiritual practitioner, you’ll work alongside dedicated professionals to provide holistic care to clients and staff alike.
This is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Divisional Chaplaincy Manager, and primarily based at the Ulverstone Bridge Centre. The role also includes regular travel to other social mission sites across North West Tasmania, including Burnie and Devonport.
You will successfully Provide spiritual and pastoral care, encouraging individuals to explore their faith journey through one on one and group conversationsCollaborate with local personnel to create faith pathways and connect individuals to faith communitiesRespond to peoples needs and risk as part of service deliveryProvide pastoral triage and holistic care while maintaining links to external faith communities for support.Assist staff and management in understanding The Salvation Army theology, mission, and culture to meet the spiritual needs of those in care.Facilitating faith-based ceremonies, activities and referrals to appropriate faith communities.Complete required reports and maintain up to date records following all risk management & WH&S procedures.
You will haveDiploma of Chaplaincy (mandatory)A valid WWCC/WVPC (mandatory)Valid and current Drivers LicenceTraining in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) (desirable or working towards)Relevant qualifications in theological studies (desirable or working towards)Positive Lifestyle Program (PLP) Facilitator training (desirable or working towards)
