Key Responsibilities
Reviewing medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies. Educating staff on best practices for clinical documentation and coding. Analysing trends and providing insights to improve documentation processes and outcomes. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
Qualifications/ Skills
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Current Registration; Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS or CDIP) (preferred); Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulatory requirements; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
