Are you a payroll expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves getting the details right? We’re looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team and ensure accurate and timely payment for over 4,000 employees across Australia.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our payroll operations—bringing your expertise, problem-solving mindset, and customer-first attitude to every pay cycle.

As our Senior Payroll Officer, you'll:

  • Manage full end-to-end payroll processing for 4,000+ employees nationally
  • Accurately produce complex calculations including terminations, redundancies, and leave reconciliations
  • Perform regular payroll reporting and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Calculate and process Superannuation, PAYG, and Payroll Tax obligations
  • Interpret and apply multiple Awards and employment agreements for redundancy calculations
  • Resolve escalated and complex individual payroll queries with professionalism and empathy
  • Handle Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting requirements
  • Maintain and validate master data to ensure payroll integrity

What you'll bring

  • Both technical know-how and a people-focused approach
  • Extensive hands-on payroll experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (you know your VLOOKUPs from your pivot tables)
  • Experience with SAP EC or ECP is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Agreement, payroll and superannuation legislation, PAYG, STP, and general payroll operations
  • Proven experience in interpreting Awards and complex payroll scenarios
  • A self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a collaborative team
