Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their AOD recovery journey? Our client, a well-regarded organisation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Specialist to join their dedicated team.
About the Role:
In this rewarding position, you will support individuals experiencing problematic substance use through evidence-based treatment, case management, and group facilitation. Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will develop and implement recovery-focused treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing on approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and mindfulness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide client-centred case management and counselling services
- Facilitate therapeutic group programs
- Develop and monitor individualised treatment plans
- Promote harm minimisation strategies
- Build strong relationships with clients, encouraging self-determination and recovery
- Collaborate with internal and external support services to provide holistic care
About You:
- A degree in social work, counselling, or a related field
- Previous experience in AOD counselling and case management
- A strong understanding of addiction, co-morbidity, and recovery-oriented practice
- Skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions and group facilitation
- Committed to inclusivity, respect, and client empowerment
Requirements:
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Check
- National Criminal History Check
- Completion of core training modules (WHS, Code of Conduct, etc.)
