Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their AOD recovery journey? Our client, a well-regarded organisation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Specialist to join their dedicated team.

About the Role:

In this rewarding position, you will support individuals experiencing problematic substance use through evidence-based treatment, case management, and group facilitation. Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will develop and implement recovery-focused treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing on approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and mindfulness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide client-centred case management and counselling services
  • Facilitate therapeutic group programs
  • Develop and monitor individualised treatment plans
  • Promote harm minimisation strategies
  • Build strong relationships with clients, encouraging self-determination and recovery
  • Collaborate with internal and external support services to provide holistic care

About You:

  • A degree in social work, counselling, or a related field
  • Previous experience in AOD counselling and case management
  • A strong understanding of addiction, co-morbidity, and recovery-oriented practice
  • Skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions and group facilitation
  • Committed to inclusivity, respect, and client empowerment

Requirements:

  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Completion of core training modules (WHS, Code of Conduct, etc.)
