About The CompanyOur client is a prominent civil contracting business in South Australia that specializes in the construction of civil infrastructure for local governments, Department of Transport, mine sites, power plants, pipelines and marine projects. They have recently started a new $35m minesite civil project in South Australia, where they have an immediate need for a HSE Advisor to join the team on contract basis through until February 2026.
About The Role
This twelve-month contract role is a wonderful opportunity to get involved in a “live” industrial project through the construction delivery stages, and to showcase your HSE Advisor skills on a large industrial-scale civil project. The project itself will involve construction of concrete pads and foundations for a new paste fill plant, two kilometers of new road, intersection upgrade, drainage and storm water systems. As HSE Advisor you will support the Project Manager and site delivery team to facilitate the smooth running of the project from a HSE perspective to ensure a zero-harm environment. You’ll be working 12 hours per day, while staying in fully catered camp accommodation with meals provided as well as your flights to and from Adelaide on 10/4 FIFO roster . As the successful HSE Advisor you will support the site management team to ensure the company and workforce adhere to the client’s HSE management system, policies and procedures during the daily construction activity. As required, you will also be involved in incident investigations, risk assessments, site audits and inspections, providing safety input during daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings, system improvement, and inputting and maintaining required safety data for reporting purposes. As the successful HSE Advisor you can expect a rewarding pay rate CIRCA $825/Day + super (*pending experience).
Skills & Experience And Other Requirements
Minimum CERT IV OH&S or similarApproximately 3+ years’ experience as Safety Coordinator or HSE Advisor for civil or construction contractors in Australia on industrial projects such as process plants, refineries, minesite civils or similarExposure and experience working on fly-in, fly-out roster basis on remote mining or industrial civil projects (preferred)Ability to work on FIFO 10/4 ex-Adelaide for the next 12 monthsExcellent all-round communication skillsExisting rights to live and work in Australia and currently Adelaide based for logistical reasonsAble to pass pre-employment medical and DAS testingAble to supply 2 favorable references from within the last 5 yearsCurrent Australian C Class Drivers License
