Primary objective
Lead a ‘One NT Health’ approach to service delivery by providing strategic and operational leadership to the NT Regional Health Service

throughout the NT.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Drive a transformational reform program that delivers operational excellence and improved fiscal and performance outcomes across
the NT Regional Health Service at a whole-of-Territory level.
2. Oversee performance and compliance with the NTRHS Service Plan, ensuring alignment with the Service Agreement, health service

3. Ensure service standardisation, collaboration and consistency in and between regions by developing and embedding the appropriate
mechanisms (systems, frameworks and policies) that enable effective service delivery.
4. Ensure prioritisation of inter-regional clinical and NT-wide services according to patient and community needs, and that key priority
reforms are implemented and embedded into agency operations.
5. Establish and maintain best practice governance for the safety and quality of care across the operational arm of the organisation and
ensure the continuous improvement of clinical services and equitable access to safe, high-quality health services across the NT.
6. Build a positive and collaborative working relationship across NT Health and more broadly across other NT Government agencies to
ensure alignment to NT Health and cross-government initiatives and programs.
7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in
order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
8. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
These duties and accountabilities are indicative rather than inclusive - the successful applicant will be required to display initiative, lateral
thinking ability and a positive, collaborative whole-of-enterprise focus in the performance of their duties – the role is also required to
deputise for the Chief Executive as required.
