Job DescriptionOur esteemed client, Triple T Cafe & Restaurant, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their busy kitchen team in Winnellie, Northern Territory. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to prepare a range of breakfast and lunch dishes to a consistent, high standard. The role requires someone who is organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering quality food.

As a growing establishment, they are committed to creating a welcoming space for guests and employees. The annual salary for the position is $73,150 to $75,000. Duties include:
- Inspect ingredients and raw food items to ensure they meet quality and freshness standards.
- Monitor and adjust temperatures on ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances to ensure proper cooking.
- Cook and prepare meals under menu specifications and kitchen standards.
- Add herbs, spices, and other seasonings during cooking to enhance flavour.
- Plate dishes with care, including portioning food and adding appropriate sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
- Store ingredients and prepared food items in temperature-controlled environments to maintain freshness.
- Prepare meals tailored to specific dietary needs or allergen requirements.
- Assist in planning menus and forecasting food quantities needed for daily operations or events.
- Train junior kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation techniques and hygiene practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen by adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III, including two (2) years of on-the-job training or an AQF Certificate IV and two (2) years of full-time or part-time equivalent work experience in a related setting.
