Description:

Shaping Spaces. Shaping Careers.
We shape inspiring spaces and create exceptional experiences that leave a lasting impact – and we’ve been doing it for more than 35 years across Australia. From reimagining workplaces to transforming schools and hospitals, we believe great things happen when talented people are empowered to collaborate, innovate, and push boundaries. At SHAPE, you’ll find a culture where your ideas matter, your growth is nurtured, and your contributions are celebrated.

About the role
As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee diverse and impactful fitout and construction projects for high profile brands. You’ll lead teams, mentor junior team members, grow your career, and ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on time to the highest standard. Your responsibilities include:

  • Successfully managing projects from pre-construction to handover and defect liability
  • Leading and mentoring project teams
  • Ensuring compliance with building specs, standards and EHSQ requirements
  • Effective relationships and communication with clients, subbies and stakeholders
  • Handling tender interviews, contract management, and subcontractor negotiations
  • Managing the construction programme and project delivery systems
  • Financial reporting and identifying profit improvements

About you
  • Experience working for a principal contractor in a project management role
  • A natural leader and team player
  • Adaptable, solutions-focused, and calm under pressure
  • Experience with MS Projects, Procore and Jobpac (handy, but not essential)

We have the ambitious vision to be ‘the place where everyone wants to work’. That’s why at SHAPE you’ll enjoy:
  • A diverse and inclusive culture, recognised by Human Synergistics and Australian Financial Review
  • 5 additional paid leave days every year
  • Personalised career development to fast-track your growth with regular check-ins
  • An ‘Individual Flexibility Plan’ to match your work/life needs
  • Competitive salary and profit-share potential (up to 15% of your salary)
  • Health and wellbeing benefits, including mental health support, fitness activities, annual flu vaccinations, and discounted health insurance
  • Personalised parental leave benefits for your growing family
  • Regular social events to connect with your colleagues, subcontractors, and clients
