The Role:
The Compliance Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring implementation, embedding, and monitoring of all HSEQ and Compliance activities across the business.
This role will work closely with the Executive team to:

Monitor, evaluate and communicate regarding relevant legislation changes and updates in partnership with the HSEQ Support Officer

Identify opportunities for proactive continual improvement, and engage with all necessary stakeholders across the business to implement required processes

Develop and maintain in depth knowledge on ISO and FSC accreditation requirements and provide leadership and guidance to the business on requirements

Provide guidance and periodical monitoring on processes and procedures to ensure successful completion of the annual audits through a simple ongoing program of works

Provide advice and coaching on all matters relating to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality to ensure a safety culture is embedded in every day practices across the organisation

Will own the relationship with key external stakeholders such as NT WorkSafe, ISO Auditors and other Safety and Compliance Regulatory bodies

Ideal Candidate for this role:
Suitable candidates will have:

Minimum of 5 years previous experience in the area of HSEQ, and formal certifications/qualifications in Health & Safety

Extensive knowledge of HSEQ and ISO accreditation standards, and either current knowledge on FSC or the willingness to develop deep understanding

Be confident in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Safety Management platforms (for example; SkyTrust, Lucidity or similar).

You will have demonstrated experience in simplifying HSEQ + Compliance matters, ensure understanding and ownership across all levels of the organisation
A current Drivers licence is essential, as is a current Apply First Aid certification and White Card. Candidates must be willing to visit NT Links’ various sites, which may include stayovers.
Experience working in Transportable Buildings or commercial Construction would be advantageous, as would working as a client/contractor for a Tier 1 operation.
Suitable candidates may be required to undergo a Police Clearance check and pre-employment medical as part of the recruitment process.
