Description:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the company meets all accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements. You will lead a small, high performing team to deliver accurate financial reporting while driving continuous improvement in processes and systems.

Your responsibilities are below but are not limited to:

  • Regular Reporting: Deliver accurate, timely financial and management reports to support decision-making.
  • Storytelling: Collaborate with teams across the business to understand and articulate the story behind the numbers.
  • Communication: Simplify complex financial data into actionable insights for various stakeholders.
  • Financial Control: Manage key financial operations, including securities, revenue recognition, amortisations and customer / vendor deposits.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and cash flow management strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Efficiency Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
  • Tax Accounting: Oversee the preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and other tax obligations, liaising with external accountants and advisers as needed.
  • Grants and Incentives: Identify Grant and Incentive opportunities and assist with the preparation and management of grants and claims.

Requirements:

We’re looking for a motivated finance professional with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • 10+ years' experience in financial management roles.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and/or project accounting (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with MYOB Accounting software.
  • Strong skills in analytical reporting, costing, budgeting, and process improvement.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
