We’re seeking a skilled Senior HD Fitter with at least 5 years’ experience post-trade to join our hands-on team at our owner-operated gold mine. If you’re motivated, experienced, and ready to lead by example, this is the role for you.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Advising and working alongside a small, high-performing maintenance team
- Servicing and maintaining mobile plant equipment
- Ensure work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
- Diagnose and fix engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and drivetrains.
- Preventative maintenance on all equipment
- Completing inspection checklists and reporting on equipment condition
- Contributing to pre-start meetings and ‘what went wrong’ reviews
Gear You’ll Work On:
- Komatsu 785-7 & 1500 Trucks
- PC2000 & PC1250-8 Excavators
- D375-8 Dozers & CAT 745 Water Carts
- John Deere 872GP Grader & Franna MAC 25T Crane
- Rigid Flat Tops – Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi
- Plus auxiliary equipment – gensets, skid steers, and more
Your Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' recent experience working on mobile plant post-trade
- Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
- Valid Australian HR Driver’s Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
- Franna, IT Loader or Forklift tickets highly desirable
- Experience maintaining open-cut mobile mining equipment – Komatsu preferred
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills (essential)
- Motivated, hands-on, and willing to support the broader team
