The business manager assists in the effective management of the Norfolk Island Governance and Partnerships team (NIPG). The NIPG works in partnership with line agencies, the Federal Government, and Norfolk Island stakeholders to provide certain state-based services such as health and education, to the Norfolk Island community. Familiarity with the government financial management standards and human resources principles, as well as strong communication skills and an ability work effectively on complex issues in a dynamic environment will be beneficial for this role.For 165 years, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet has been building the foundations of Queensland. In This Role, You'll Make Your Mark By
- Undertaking financial management for NIPG including budgeting, financial processing, procurement, forecasting and reporting.
- Coordinating risk management processes for NIPG
- Liaising with service delivery agencies to support the implementation of corporate, risk, performance reporting and financial management processes including coordinating whole of government annual budgets, acquittal reports and performance reports.
- Supporting the Executive Director to undertake human resource management for NIPG including the provision of advice and workforce management.
- Participating in business planning, monitoring and reporting processes.
- Providing advice, information and assistance to the NIPG on corporate and operational matters and organisational performance issues.
- Providing secretariat support for governance bodies including preparing agendas, meeting papers and minutes and tracking and monitoring the progress of action items.
