Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Manager to lead and manage our heritage projects and services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation and management of initiatives that align with our mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of heritage projects and services.

Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, including from the resource sector, government bodies, NGOs, and community groups.

Manage departmental budgets, revenue and growth.

Lead a team of dedicated people to achieve a greater level of commercial service delivery.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practice.

Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth and development within the heritage service sector.
Qualifications
-
Qualification in business administration, management, project management or a related field preferred.

Proven experience as an office manager, administrative assistant, or in a similar role, ideally within a not for profit or corporate environment.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and basic financial software.

Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Selection Criteria
Essentials
1. Qualification/s in business administration, leadership and/or management
2. Proven track record of managing team growth and meeting revenue targets
3. Minimum of 5 years supervisory/managerial experience
4. Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
5. Proven ability to manage a diverse team (including remote staff and consultants)
Desirable
1. Qualifications in heritage and/or finance
2. Previous experience in a heritage services role
3. Previous experience working in or with native title groups
