ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
We are seeking experienced and energetic FIFO Housekeepers to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at our remote sites. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the physical stamina to handle the demands of cleaning multiple rooms daily.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment and attend an Assessment Centre at Compass Group Head Office, where you will participate in an assessment and interview and can meet our Site Leaders and Recruitment team and ask any questions you might have about FIFO life.
THE POSITION
- Thorough Cleaning: Ensure each room is cleaned to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Bed Making: Change bed linens and make beds with precision and care.
- Bathroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks.
- Restocking Supplies: Replenish toiletries, towels, and other amenities as needed.
- Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other housekeeping staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
THE PERSON
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a FIFO or remote setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to cleaning and maintaining rooms to the highest standards.
- Reliability: Strong attendance record and punctuality.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and residents.
- Positive Attitude: A friendly, optimistic, and proactive approach to work.
