Make an impact in our growing team

We are looking for a Head of Acquisition to join our growing Marketing team!

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for media planning and optimisation, performance campaign creation and management, marketing content, social and PR across Australia and New Zealand. Managing a team of 5, the role is accountable for growing our e-commerce customer acquisition YoY and hitting ambitious revenue targets for Cranky Health.

You will be a senior marketing professional with previous experience leading a marketing communications team, preferably within a high cadence online business, where your role and team directly impacted core revenue.

You will be responsible for

As Head of Acquisition, you’ll lead a high-performing team across paid and earned media, digital campaigns and web design, PR, Social and Content to drive eCommerce growth.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement an integrated ANZ Acquisition Plan, balancing always-on digital marketing with integrated tactical campaigns and PR and social influence.
  • Team Leadership: Guide a cross-functional marketing team to optimise customer acquisition, media, promotions, content, and ambassador programs.
  • Performance & Budgeting: Maximise ROI through media planning, agency management, and budget oversight.
  • Collaboration and communication: Work closely with internal teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and agencies to align acquisition initiatives with business goals.
  • Campaign Development: Ensure all digital campaigns are executed on time, on brand, and within budget.
  • Analytics, reporting & Insights: Foster a test-and-learn culture with real-time campaign measurement and reporting.
  • Promotion and content calendar: Balancing marketing levers to maximise amplification and sales across a highly competitive and seasonal category, with an understanding of how to drive value beyond just price.

On day one, you’ll have:

  • 12+ years marketing experience, preferably with eCommerce or digital brands.
  • Strong hands-on leadership experience from fast-paced environments.
  • Expertise in integrated media planning, digital performance, and omnichannel strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage agencies, optimise budgets, and drive conversion.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making, and experience using and/or building dashboards in PowerBI or the like.
  • Innate curiosity, drive to contribute to team culture and alignment and a tendency to own outcomes, whether good or bad.
  • Straight up communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Background in direct-to-consumer marketing; with health experience a plus.
  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
