Who We Are

Horizon Community Services was created for people with special needs, friends and families who need a better way to access individualised disability support. We provide a wide range of tailored, flexible and quality disability services and support coordination for people living with disabilities for their choice and needs. We are based in Brisbane, Queensland.

We have extensive experience in disability care and specialise in tailoring all levels of support to ensure our participants reach their goals. Our trusted management team and support workers actively inspire and collaborate with our participants, to help them pursue more independent and fulfilling lives.

About You

We are currently looking for dedicated, motivated and passionate people to join our agency who will help us to continue to achieve our mission and positively represent Horizon community Services in the wider community. In turn, we will provide an environment where you will feel nurtured, supported and part of a cohesive team. There are several casual positions available, paid in accordance with the relevant award.

Essential Criteria

  • Dedication and reliability
  • Well-developed organisational and communication skills (written & spoken)
  • Capacity to adapt to a variety of situations and work as part of a motivated team
  • Must be able to work within the relevant Client guidelines
  • Adhere to legislation and Horizon community Services's Policies and Procedures
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check – Clearance
  • Have a friendly, positive attitude to work and life

Desirable Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience as a support worker
  • Experience dealing with Complex Care requirements
  • Manual Handling
  • Food Handling
  • Infection Control
  • Relevant certificate/s in the field
