Do you have a passion for environmental sustainability and want to make a meaningful impact on South Australia's natural landscape? We’re looking for a Native Vegetation Officer to help protect and manage native vegetation in line with the Native Vegetation Act (SA) 1991 (NV Act) and the Native Vegetation Regulations (SA) 2017.
As a Native Vegetation Officer, you’ll play a key role in :
- Supporting the administration and compliance of the Native Vegetation Act (SA) 1991 (NV Act) and the Native Vegetation Regulations (SA) 2017.
- Assessing and processing vegetation clearance applications across South Australia
- Contributing to compliance investigations and enforcement activities
- Facilitating land use proposals and delivering project support
- Providing input into policy development to strengthen environmental outcomes

We’re seeking someone with:
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and natural resource management
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in project support and/or policy development (desirable)

Contract:
12 Month Contract
Essential Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in natural resource management, agricultural science, environmental science, or related field.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence is essential.
- Intrastate travel maybe required.
- Some out of hours work is required, necessitating occasional overnight stays.
Remuneration:
PO1, $68,478 min - $83,594 max p.a.
