The Legal Support Supervisor coordinates the administrative support for Legal Officers and Crown Prosecutors within the Chamber. This includes assisting the Practice Manager/Solicitor Advocate to compile statistics and reports in relation to the performance of Chambers.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) represents the State of Queensland in criminal cases. The ODPP's significant responsibility is to prosecute criminal matters in the High Court of Australia, Court of Appeal (Qld), Supreme Court, Mental Health Court, District Court, the Childrens Court of Queensland, and the Magistrates Court (in limited locations and matters).
About your opportunity:
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is seeking expressions of interest for a temporary flexible full-time AO3 Legal Support Supervisor from date of commencement up to 30 June 2027.
As a Legal Support Supervisor, the incumbent will undertake a combination of the following:
- Assist the Practice Manager/Solicitor Advocate in compiling statistics and reports in relation to the performance of Chambers/work unit.
- Maintain appropriate records of correspondence, court applications or appeals, and the result of court action.
- Conduct routine correspondence with police officers, other legal practitioners, and court staff.
- Maintain a thorough and reliable bring-up system for matters dealt within Chambers.
- Liaise with police officers, other legal practitioners, court officers and other government bodies, victims and their families.
- Coordinate the provision of administrative support to Chamber Legal Officers and Crown Prosecutors to ensure timely, efficient and quality preparation of criminal prosecutions.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of Legal Support Officers (if applicable).
As a Legal Support Supervisor, the incumbent will demonstrate the ability to:
