Our Tax Advisory team supports clients to look ahead to see how their business decisions can be affected by tax legislation and plan for their continued business success and growth. We work with a range of clients across a range of sectors including private and listed businesses, high net wealth, family groups, start-ups, early-stage high growth businesses, and Australian subsidiaries of multinational businesses.
Job DescriptionYou will play a key role in:
- Providing technical support in the areas of indirect taxes, particularly state taxes including stamp duty and land tax across all jurisdictions to all our tax teams.
- Managing and maintaining all aspects of the client relationships and portfolio.
- Providing commercial and pragmatic indirect tax advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Advising on cross-border transactions, business structuring, M&As, asset restructuring, succession and wealth planning; undertaking tax due diligence and assisting with revenue office reviews and audits.
- Coaching and mentoring staff members.
- Delivery of technical training sessions to the team and broader tax practice.
Your Experience

- Ideally, 3-5 years' experience in a legal firm, second tier firm, Big4 firm or tax authorities (e.g. ATO or state revenue offices).
- Background in tax law would be highly beneficial for this opportunity.
- Strong knowledge and experience in private clients/middle market.
- Excellent tax technical capabilities.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
