Are you passionate about providing outstanding customer service and ensuring safe, compliant outcomes? We’re looking for a proactive Customer Liaison Specialist to join our Private Assets team, where you’ll support customers in understanding and managing their privately-owned electricity assets—such as poles and wires located on their property.

In this role, you'll be a key point of contact, helping customers navigate their responsibilities and ensuring their private infrastructure remains safe, compliant, and operational.

About the Role

The Customer Liaison Specialist – Private Assets is responsible for managing customer-facing programs related to private electrical infrastructure. This includes handling enquiries, resolving complaints, coordinating support, and ensuring customers understand their obligations when it comes to maintaining and repairing private poles and wires.

You'll also support the broader Customer Service Branch by contributing to efficient service delivery and strengthening relationships with retailers, stakeholders, and the community.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a Customer Advocate : Respond to customer enquiries and concerns with professionalism, clarity, and empathy.
  • Educate and Inform : Help customers understand their responsibilities regarding private electrical assets, including maintenance and compliance requirements.
  • Build Strong Relationships : Develop and maintain positive, trust-based relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Resolve Issues Effectively : Manage complaints and disputes, working with internal teams to deliver timely and practical resolutions.
  • Support Program Delivery : Assist the Customer Liaison Team Leader – Private Installations with implementing customer-related programs.
  • Communicate Proactively : Deliver clear, tailored communications to customers about their obligations and available support.
  • Coordinate Support Services : Arrange and oversee customer support actions to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.

  • Experience in customer service, client liaison, or stakeholder engagement—ideally in utilities, electrical services, or infrastructure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar role or Certificate IV in Customer Engagement
