We're seeking a skilled & well-rounded mid-level Network Engineer to join our client's highly talented & collaborative Global Network Ops team.
Job Title: Network Engineer
What your exciting days will look like:
- Maintain and deploy modern computer networks aligned with business & technical needs.
- Collaborate with project and program managers to ensure timely project delivery and issue resolution.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot networks to swiftly identify and resolve incidents.
- Take a leading role in managing and mitigating network outages and critical issues.
- Validate problem details and perform in-depth diagnostics, tracking progress in our ticketing system.
- Investigate and address non-critical network functionality issues.
- Proactively analyze network capacity and availability to ensure issues are resolved before causing outages.
- Review and contribute to the planning and preparation for changes to the production environment.
- Partner with teams to plan and execute software upgrades and device maintenance on network infrastructure.
What you'll need to succeed in the role:
- At least 4+ years of hands-on networking experience with a strong understanding of routing, switching, security, and load balancing .
- Solid practical experience in firewall administration (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortigate).
- Hands-on experience in load balancer administration (F5 BigIP, NGINX, NetScaler).
- Preferably has 2+ years of experience working with public cloud networking (AWS, GCP, or Azure) .
- Up to 5+years of experience in managing internet and data center network environments .
- Some familiarity with RedHat/CentOS Linux OS
- Solid understanding & knowledge with core Network technologies : BGP, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, SNMP, ECMP .
- Deep, hands-on experience with TCP/IP protocols, including traffic capture and analysis using tools like Wireshark.
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS and JunOS operating systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
- Virtualization & container management experience (Kubernetes, OpenStack, Linux KVM).
- Scripting & automation skills (bash/python)
- Experience with high-performance computing technologies (GPGPU, Infiniband, RoCEv2).
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices & tools like DevOps, Bitbucket, GitHub.
