About the Role

Join our dynamic Community Services academic team and play a key role in teaching the next generation of first-class community service workers! You'll be essential in delivering engaging, high-quality education to our Bachelor of Community Services students, helping them build and refine the skills they need to excel in their careers.

This is an Expression of Interest, you may also be considered for Marking, Support or Supervisory positions within the organisation.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lecturing, teaching, assessing and marking Bachelor of Community Services students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessments.
  • Teaching lecture and tutorial classes.
  • Engage in teaching evaluations, maintaining professional development and pursuing new teaching methodologies and strategies.
  • Provide timely, comprehensive marking and feedback to students on all unit learning outcomes.
  • Identify and monitor students who are at risk of failing and organise necessary student support efforts for the students.
  • Participate in teaching evaluation.
  • Respond to student emails and queries at a timely manner.
  • Maintain high professional and ethical conduct, including high standards of self- management, resilience and collaborative behaviours.


About You

  • Post Graduate qualification in community work, welfare, human/social services or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience
  • Strong understanding of theory and practice
  • Excellent presentation and leadership skills

Advantageous but not required:

  • Completion or enrolment in a PhD or Master's in an area related to Community Services
  • Relevant tertiary teaching experience
  • demonstrated teaching achievements and results
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Masters or PhD by research in related field (Highly Desired)
