The Preschool

KU John J. Carroll Preschool, in the heart of leafy Surry Hills between Crown street and Bourke street. It is a lovely quaint two room preschool with a special interest in community and parent partnerships, offering children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. The preschool has a friendly longstanding team and is only a short walk from the lightrail stop near Bourke st bakery.

The Role

This permanent, part time position will see you join Monday to Wednesdays, you would also have access to casual shifts when available on non-rostered days across our other nearby KU services if so desired.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with preschool age children, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to work as part of a team. We are seeking someone who builds strong relationships with both children and their families.

Of course, you will need:

  • Australian working rights
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III
  • Completed training in Child Protection
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
