The Property Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of the organisation’s property portfolio. This role focuses on ensuring all properties are effectively supported through strong relationships with landlords, internal teams, and external partners. The role requires a deep understanding of lease negotiations, asset acquisition, property legislation, risk management, and compliance. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business, project teams, regulatory authorities, and the wider real estate sector, the Property Manager ensures the portfolio is aligned with organisational goals and managed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Manage day-to-day property portfolio needs and issues, interpret lease agreements, track KPIs, and monitor costs.
  • Manage all new project and commercial lease negotiations and project approvals.
  • Support the management of the interface and relations with all Landlords and Port Authorities.
  • Management of sub lease arrangements regarding areas of risk which require attention to ensure compliance is established and/or maintained across the business.
  • Conduct continuous reviews of current business performance with reference to Directorate responsibilities and associates
  • Monitor property-related expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the company’s Properties strategies and processes

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in property, business or commercial discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial property, including dealings with statutory authorities and understanding of commercial real estate and land management issues.
  • Experience in the Ports and Logistics industry (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Property law
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, communicate clearly, and collaborate within cross-functional teams
  • Proven leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and customer service focus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
