About the Team
The DVCR is charged with leading transformational change to enhance the research culture, productivity and connectedness of UTS research activities and maximise the performance and impact of UTS research. The DVCR has responsibility for the University's research strategy and policies, the central research budget, research ecosystem, research concentrations, research and contract research activities, higher degree by research education, research risks (including ethics, integrity, trade controls and, international business assurance), industry engagement in research, knowledge exchange, research translation, intellectual property and commercialisation, and professional development for researchers and research support staff.
About the Role
The Executive Manager, Research Ecosystems provides high level operational and strategic support to the DVCR and PVCR across a wide range of activities keeping them informed, and in a position to lead the university to deliver on UTS 2030 and the Research Strategy.
As the Executive Manager, you will advance new strategic initiatives; act effectively on critical issues; and work to embed and enrich the UTS Research Ecosystem and its key elements. This includes research collaboration and research concentrations, deep Sector Engagement and Knowledge Exchange, and bringing together research support staff across the university to collectively align to enable UTS to achieve its research goals.
If successful in applying for this role, you will:
Lead the Research Ecosystem program of work for the DVCR and support the continued development of the strategic initiatives which sit within it, ensuring they are designed and implemented in ways that deliver outcomes Oversee the communication of the ecosystem and strategy, ensuring maximisation of buy in, engagement and traction at as many levels as possible across the university Plan and roll out programs of work on an annual basis, which mobilise and involve stakeholders, partners, and systems and tools, and institutional supports with periodic evaluation and reporting on progress Provide executive support and coordination to strategic projects as determined by the DVCRAbout You
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Executive manager who will bring their enthusiasm, creativity, energy, and self-motivation to the team. You will operate with a flexible, outcomes and solutions-oriented attitude and be highly analytical in your decision making.
You will also have;
Completion of a relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification (PhD or Masters) with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Experience developing and executing strategic research and operational plans that align with institutional priorities and set clear objectives which support the university's mission and goals High level stakeholder engagement and networking, with the proven ability to bring together and mobilise collective activity at scale Experience in the development and delivery of professional development workshops, courses and similar training activities for researchers and professional staffRemuneration & Benefits

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
