The Research Centre for Palliative Care, Death, and Dying (RePaDD) is nationally known for its research and projects which seek to make a difference to the care provided at the end of life. We do this by examining the issues and challenges experienced by people living with a life-limiting illness, their carers, and the health and social care professionals supporting them. We develop innovative solutions and advance the knowledge and evidence in palliative care to improve society’s experience of death and dying.
We work with researchers and project teams that focus on improving palliative care education and training for the primary care, acute care and aged care workforces and raising awareness of palliative care and advance care planning. We help connect their work within the university and to the community.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join the RePaDD team that is making a difference in the palliative care sector at Flinders University. This is a unique opportunity to be indirectly involved in research that makes a difference to individuals, services, organisations, and communities. It is also a chance to work with a highly skilled and committed team building evidence, encouraging learning, and developing practice ready knowledge and resources.
Assisting the Centre Manager with marketing activities and strategy designed to grow the Centre’s brand and reputation, you will contribute by:
Supporting the ongoing development, delivery and review of the RePaDD marketing and engagement strategy. Developing and implementing high quality marketing and communication activities for RePaDD that extend awareness and create opportunities for the sector to engage with the Centre. Driving a communications schedule that captures all activities throughout the year and provides timely and relevant content to the sector. Producing campaigns and promotional activities to support specific needs and deliverables of the Centre.About You
A highly organised individual, you will be able to effectively coordinate and manage projects with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their expertise and experience with graphic design processes and software, the ability to prepare and deliver quality marketing activities, prepare media communications and reports and track and monitor marketing outcomes
You will also have:
A relevant tertiary qualification and work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training in digital marketing, social media campaigns and communications. Experience in producing effective, and timely communications that is relevant to the sector and aligns with the Centre strategy Well-developed oral and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop productive relationships with staff at all levels within the organisation and external stakeholders. The ability to analyse audience needs, stakeholder issue and tailor engagement activities and material accordinglyFamiliarity with the health care sector will be highly advantageous.
