Chief Technology Officer - Sydney / Hybrid

We are seeking a CTO for a leading SaaS Product Scale-Up in Sydney. Our client's team is passionate about leveraging technology to make a positive impact on the world, using their product to solve complex challenges and improve efficiency through cutting-edge solutions. As the CTO, you will be responsible for the technical direction as the company scales, overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle from architecture and design to development and deployment, with potential oversight of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy: Develop a clear engineering strategy and vision aligned with the company's goals.
2. Technical Leadership & Team Management: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
3. Product Development: Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager to define and execute product roadmaps, balancing innovation and technical excellence.
4. Performance Optimization: Ensure platform stability, performance, scalability, and security, working with industry partners to mitigate issues and manage incidents.
5. Architecture and Design: Oversee design and implementation of scalable, robust technical solutions.
6. Infrastructure: Manage and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
7. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality software delivery through rigorous testing and QA processes.

Requirements:

1. Proven success in overseeing all elements of the software development lifecycle.
2. Experience leading and managing engineering teams.
3. Strong technical background in C#.NET, SQL, and related technologies.
4. Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, is a plus.
5. Extensive solution architecture experience.
6. Experience developing API strategies and developer programs is desirable.
7. Commercial experience with technologies such as:

• React/TypeScript, Node.js/TypeScript APIs, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL.
• Java and C# APIs, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS Fargate, MySQL, DynamoDB.
• C/C++.
